While I do not like the new format, I take it at face value that the change was needed to enhance the member's experience on UHH. The one thing I would like to see though is this -- if I want to examine a particular topic, I can click on that topic but when it comes up, there is no order to it. Posts from today are intermixed with posts from six months to two years ago. Could you please make topics to appear in chronological order.

It didn’t enhance my experience in any way. What was wrong with the old format? Why did it need to be changed? It the old system works, why change it????????

With the old format I could prioritize what I wanted to see immediately and what I wanted to review later, or not at all. All at a quick glance. Now I have to first go to an individual section and then try to figure out what is new. I dislike it intensely. This is serious enough for me to cause me to look for another blog.

Oh; so now the members that don’t have a lot of posts don’t matter. Sad. We have still enjoyed the forum and many of us have learned a lot from it. I had thought that was one of the points in having the forum; to teach AND learn, and, too, just enjoy. The old format seemed to work just fine for most; so, really, why change it???? Change for change’s sake is not always the best.

I did a search for that note, but, did not find it. Does not change the fact that the vast majority of users that have commented do not not like the change, and find it difficult to use. Do our opinions not matter? I thought this forum was for everyone interested in photography; not just those who post a lot. Some of want to learn, as well as enjoy. Sorry we don’t post enough to matter.

Since you know the author was Admin, one easy way to find is to go to the "user list" at top of this page, and type his name. The topic is in main discussion and its direct link is https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-786682-1.html

I have learned from the “heavy” users AND the “light” users as well (in other words-all users). And I never heard anyone complain about the old format; I assume that means it worked pretty well as it was.

Thanks Linda.I missed that and wondered what all the folks were annoyed about. I usually check out newest topics before I post so that I don't infringe on someone else's post.

Linda, you seem to be in touch with Admin and understand this site better than most of us. Admin just informed us that if we want to see the latest in a particular subject to click on filter by section just under the Ugly Hedgehog forum digest. Two problems -- No where on UHH is there a line reading "Ugly Hedgehog forum digest and secondly, there is no "Filter by Section" line.

Sorry I've given that impression. He and I don't speak, and the few times I've asked questions via pm, his responses have been minimal.

I just read his note. Look at the bottom of any UHH page. Click on "latest digest." Look at upper left corner of that.
