The original image is a public domain image from The Met, one of four allegories, earth, air, water, and fire. Done using the poster edges, paint dabs, and oil paint filters. Texture added and the background is one I did for this. Thought I'd share. I'll add the original image.

Nicely done Buck, you continue to amaze with your background images
It’s nice Dave - but for better clarity I’d prefer a background that had less ‘dappling’ - the darker tones are too similar to those of the subject. Nevertheless, an interesting image and a good one for the series you’re developing here.

That’s much improved to my eye Dave, perhaps pull the blacks down a little more on the statue - or add a bit of contrast? Just to get it to stand out nicely. Lovely image, I like these statues you’re finding.
