I spotted this golden dragonfly a couple of days ago and had never seen one this color before.

Your Golden Dragon had me a bit puzzled but it's a Cherry-faced Meadowhawk [/](Sympetrum internum)[/i]. Kind of a color variation I don't normally see here in the East. Well done!

Thank you as usual Doc for a positive comment. When I looked it up I thought it said there was a golden dragonfly. Is this one a variation of the one you looked up?

There is a Golden-winged Skimmer and a Saffron Meadowhawk but this is not it. It is a different color pattern for this species.
