Anyone use the following?
iFootage Cobra 3 Carbon Fiber Monopod with Pedal-Release Mini Tripod Base; or alternate products.
I've been using the Manfrotto 290 Carbon Fiber Monopod for years. I prefer the snap locks over the twist locks as their faster. I tried a friends with legs and they just get in the way. I use a tilt and slide head.
I've been using the Cobra 2 for many years now and absolutely LOVE it! BT

I have no specific comment on the model you asked about.
For outdoor locations or any location where my monopod can be roughed up, I prefer to use a metal one with flip locks made from durable plastic. The metal version is easier to clean especially if it has been in water or sand.
I do have a carbon fiber one too that i use for travel where a smaller size is a benefit. It has twist locks on it. I try and not to use it outdoors.
The weight savings from CF is not that meaningful on my two monopods.
Hi, I use a Gitzo 5541 carbon fiber monopod. It is very heavy duty, but also very light compared to the Giottis, manfrotto and other non carbon fiber mono’s that I own.
I would prefer a clip on one of the legs, for ease of adjustment instead of the turning g lock.
I also add tripod style legs to all of my mono’s to help them stand upright.

Nope.
Why?
Based on the responses so far I think people understand the question. Some less bright may not

Having only one leg and no spider, the weight saving by choice of materials is so close to meaningless that Ive never noticed what mine is made of ... mebbe recycled water bottles ?
I do know that I put a not very light tilt top on it, cuz it didnt make much difference even though I am lazy and wouldnt wanna tote any real extra weight.
Last thing, the flip locks are adjustable. Thaz really important over time.

Yep, I still have my heavy duty Bogen 3018 which matches up well with my Bogen 3021 tripod... Flip lock levers and still work great...
I have the iFootage Cobra 2 and love it. Just updated to the 3 with the foot pedal.

You did not ask, but I will share. I bought the monopod below. It is the single best purchase I have made in a while. I added a gimble head to it. All quick release, light and functional. Holds my Z9 and 400 2.8 very well. The foldable and adjustable feet on the bottom are a wonderful addition.
I was in the local camera shop this week, second time ever. My first observation was there were no (zero) Nikkor F mount lenses visible on display.
And…in the midst of a GAS attack, I was drawn to the monopods as a candidate placebo. Thanks!
