Yesterday i received my new Sigma 50mm 1.4 EX DG HSM lens so i went out and took afew shots with the lens using my Sigma SD1 (46mp) Camera here are a few of the photos.

Did you use your tripod, they look a tad soft.
I agree with djmarti these are all pretty soft.
Have to agree. I thought maybe a spot off on focus.

Sorry not to comment specifically about the result from your new lens, but I'd like to comment on your content/subject material. The first two shots had me dreaming of where that track was going to take me on my adventure. I even found myself looking at your location info, wondering where (I had guessed the UK) I would have to go to find out - beautiful. Unfortunately the fourth shot, with the sign and telegraph pole said to me, "anywhere in the civilised world". On it's own, the shot has it's own merits, but almost spoilt the beauty of the first two. The second is my favourite (without the fence also). I hope you take this in the positive way it is meant, they are lovely.
Thank you everyone for the response, no i didnt have my tripod with me, i also had my bloodhound pulling me on his lead whilst trying to take some of the shots. tomorrow i am going out to the same spot without the hound and i will take the tripod. so hopefully i will have a few better shots to put on here. regards Allan
