The original image is a public domain image from The Met. French, done approximately 1450-1475, the medium is limestone, paint, and gilt. Background is one I made for this. I'll include the original. Thought I'd share.

That works very well Dave. I’d have picked one of the slightly yellower tones but that’s purely personal, it’s a super image.

The background I think makes the shot. Your original is what I would call a documentary image. Pretty straightforward.

It has a softness that the original does not have. I know, it is a statue and they are usually not soft. It works flawlessly with the background. You are taking someone else's art and putting your own stamp on it. I think it is wonderful.
