Fly, Mayfly and Spider

The fly was outside, the mayfly on my front door and the spider on the inside of my house on the back door. Yes, he is still there for hopefully better photo opportunities. His twin brother was on my bed pillow last night. He is no longer among the living. I hope you like these.

Another great series, Dennis. Jumping spiders are the darlings of macro photography. Many folks raise them and conduct photo sessions with them. They are quite social, easily handled, and harmless to humans.

I really like the natural twigs as a background for the fly in the last shot.

Nice! Tthe mayfly is a male minnow mayfly with crazy turret-shaped compound eyes. Here is what they look like: https://bugguide.net/node/view/478807. To get that, you might get extension tubes plus a Raynox 250 diopter lens. That kind of close up work requires good bracing.

Thank you Mark for more information. I appreciate your comments and explanations of things nature wise. If I was a much younger person and had all of the information from you and other experts here I would already know this stuff.
