Last night had the first clear skies I've seen in months. Took advantage of the conditions and shot six targets, although the Little Dumbbell Nebula didn't show up probably because I accidently reset the mount.
. And the Gamma Cassiopeiae Nebula got wiped out by an unexpected Aurora (the last attachment).
Anyway, all were shot with a Sony A7R V camera and David Levy 152 telescope (730mm, f/4.8), on an iOptron CEM26 mount.
All subs were 30 seconds @ ISO800 with ~60 subs per target captured.
I did my normal processing on all the resulting stacks and played with HDR processing on three of them. Normal processing is:
- preprocessing in Lightroom
- align, stack, masked stretch and automatic background extraction in PixInsight
- noise reduction in Topaz Photo AI
- star reduction/color in Photoshop's Astro-Panel extension
- final tweaks to taste in Lightroom
- used Aurora HDR for the high dynamic range processing
Enjoy!

Amazing what is above our heads! Excellent job of capturing, and processing the photos!
An excellent post!! Very well done!!!
Another excellent set. Thanks for sharing.
Well done indeed, my you brought a lot of nebulosity out in the Pacman nebula, Bubble nebula and the AURORA Borealis needs a dimmer switch or" a switch you can turn off" so you can continue to image.
