Hi, I've going to do a job in a few days and I don't know what to name its type.

It will be an Old Time Couple in front of a restaurant that they have owned for years. The purpose of the photo will be to place it in their restaurant for posterity.
It doesn't seem that it would be called a portrait or a snap shot.

I just don't know what to call it.

Perhaps you should call it "nostalgic photography."

You could call it promotional photography as it's meant to promote the restaurant

You have a lot of good choices here. But why not be inventive Coin your own title/ category

To me it would be a portrait. The restaurant is just background to provide context.

"Documentary" portrait comes to mind. Historical or just portrait works too. It won't be historical til 2050.

By "Old Time Couple", do you mean they will be in costume? If not, I would think it would be posed street photography.

The purpose is to use it in the restaurant.
