I got two packages for a neighbor late yesterday. I'm expecting thing from Amazon, so I opened one - not mine. Now I'll have to walk down the block and give my neighbor a package I opened.
When I get an email telling me that a package has been delivered, but it's not at my door, I look at the "proof" picture, and I can tell which neighbor has it.

We have a business that is a hold spot for UPS and FedEx that folks are using to stop porch bandits - if you have one close by, might consider using them...

That is cool you can recognize your neighbors porches. I figured out where my package went missing when I lived in Pomona from the "proof of delivery photo" a few times but here in Grover Beach the homes on our street and the next one north all look very similar.

Jerry, I gotta tell ya…. you have more delivery issues than any “group” of people I know. No contest actually…. I doubt there’s anyone dese4ving of second place. What’s going on up there? Do you get your stuff delivered by Amazon trucks or a subcontractor?

I feel really bad for you Jerry!!
As many delivery issues you have in your neighborhood, I’m surprised you didn’t check the address on the package before tearing into it. I hope that wasn’t a package of very personal items you accidentally opened - talk about embarrassing!

I don't think he has more problem than anyone he just bought way more often than anyone so 0.001% of the time there is a problem he would get it.
I believe (one or more) of the delivery companies run up our street at least 5 times a day.
I (might get), one package a month that my older children have ordered for us.
There might be a day when (our packages), might have to have the local Sheriff's K-9
sniffers, up to the house to check out our packages before cutting the wrappers off.
Hope you don't have as much trouble as the "White House" does with unopened boxes.

"Close by" is fifteen miles away. I bring packages in as soon as they arrive.

I'm lucky living in the country, my mail man would just pick it up tomorrow or he'd come and get it and take it 'after supper of course'!

Yeah, it’s 12 miles for us… Our closest neighbor is 1/2 mile away and the other 2 neighbors are a mile away and we can’t see their houses - rural farm area so not worried about thefts… We’re lucky as we know the UPS & FedEx drivers and they are GREAT - they leave the packages in our garage so they’re protected from the weather.
Wrong delivery happens everywhere. Recently I totaled my Harley and was awaiting paperwork to sign it over to the insurance company for the insurance check. It was sent via FedEx and I received a text from the sender that it had been delivered. Not found anywhere around my house. The sender got a photo of the house where it was delivered, I never saw the photo. Second package did arrive two days later. No idea where the first one went. The sender and the recipient should get a photo of where a package is sent, not just one, or neither, of them.

Over here they simply put it in the bin for recycling paper...
still wondering why you "HAD" to open it if his name and address was on the label and not yours???
