A Lady and Her Dog

I run into this woman every so often as she is out with her dog. As she left and walked down the path i thought i would take a photo as see how it came out. I rather i like it. Just a simple shot of a dog and owner enjoying the day.

I like the simplicity, the colour, the leading path. Can you ask her to turn around and take a few steps back next time - possibly on the bend?

Simplicity (and simple) make this a winner, for sure. Not only the elements, but the limited color palette. It would not be the same story if shot in a riot of fall colors.
And, of course, the perfect leading line from lower left corner, through an eye-pleasing curve, to the mysteries beyond (out of sight). Very, very nice Frank!

I like it too. It's uncluttered and the story is evident. Liked the leading line and vertical orientation. Also glad the sweatshirt was blue and not red in this case. Suggests a bit of sky color without including the sky.

Thanks for analyzing this shot. I walk by this path just about every day. So i try to stay alert for anything new and interesting, that may pop up. I like this shot for it's simplicity.
