I thought that I'd go out for a drive to a lonely road that heads out to a salt marsh near Tuckerton New Jersey. It was so humid that I taking the camera out of the bag that was in an air conditioned car created instant condensation. The only way to clear the lens was to use me lens blower. The other problems were clouds of mosquitos and biting flies. I quickly put the camera on the tripod and just took the photo. I did not check my settings and this was shot at ISO 6400. When I got back, I figured the shoot was a bust; but I managed to get this one photo to almost give the impression of the oppressive conditions. Shot just before the sun came up this morning.

I think it's marvelous, Erich! Three or four horizontal lines increasing in brightness and color as they ascend, and a super-flat landscape stabbed in a jarring way by what some consider to be "ugly" lines and poles, but which I adore as photo subjects
The grainy grittiness emphasizes the stark scene, devoid of humans but leaving the evidence of their trespass.

You put up with a lot of #@&**$# for this beautiful shot 🌞🌞🔟🌞🌞
Much the same as what Linda said except I don't like the dark haloing round the poles, and I'd probably ease off with the graininess a tad.
Nicely shot Erich. I am not a fan of man made things intruding into landscapes but as long as they were there I think you made great use of them. Personally I have no issue with the halo or the grain.
When I lived in Florida in the early 60s I had a dedicated white long sleeved dress shirt, actually dirty grey and a pair of Levi's never washed. Before every excursion into the Everglades I liberally soaked them with Off or what ever other bug repellent was on sale. I smelled so bad mosquitos and other bugs, or people for that matter, wouldn't come near me.

Thanks you for that insight into the photo. You definitely read more into it than I did originally; but I agree with everything you say. I usually try to avoid "man made things" in my landscapes; but it works in this composition. I think the grittiness was partially accidental since I had the ISO so high. A fortunate mistake I would say in this case.

Perhaps; but if people think it is beautiful, then I think it was worth it. Thank you for commenting and taking a look.

I thought about those halos. I think they could be removed with the clone tool set to darken. I'm going to try; but I thought I would post what I had before I make an unholy mess of trying to fix the poles. Thanks for you observation. I like the gritty. I think that will stay.

That sounds like a good technique. I often spray my clothes with Permethrin to keep the bugs at bay; but I forgot to do that this morning. If I go out tomorrow, I'll know better. Also, if I can stand it, I'll drive with the air off to cut down on the condensation. Thanks for taking a look.

Excellent composition, I like the gradation of the colors and the graininess. the scene also says lonely to me. Glad you hung in there to get the shot.
Well you took a shot many would avoid like the plague. Early morning sunrise and what do you get all those darn telephone poles in the way.
Linda describes the scene very well.
Been a bad year for mosquitoes here in NJ.
Oh my, Linda has caught my psychoanalysis bug... I have nothing to add. Psychoanalysis by proxy is as Peanuts, Lucy would charge 5 Cents Linda free.
https://peanuts.fandom.com/wiki/Lucy%27s_psychiatry_boothFascinating highly complex with simple elements photo construction. Worthy of 15 minutes of a half hour talk on photo construction... super excellent photo.
I find it interesting that perhaps heat waves have given the telephone poles a slightly wavey appearance.

I can see "loneliness". The shot came out better than I expected when I shot it. It did not really come to life until I got it on the computer. Thanks for the comment and taking the time to look at my work.

There are bushes that border the road. Every once in a while there is a break in the foliage so that you can get a view. I walked to one of these breaks hoping to find some water, possibly with some reflections in them from the color in the sky. Nope, just telephone poles. The old adage came to mind: "When all you have are lemons, make lemonade!" Thanks for taking a look and commenting.
