From Wikipedia: “Temu is owned and operated by the Chinese-based and Cayman Islands registered[8] company PDD Holdings, which also owns Pinduoduo, a popular online commerce platform in China.[9] The platform allows China-based vendors to sell and ship directly to customers without having to rely on intermediate distributors in the destination country”

Temu is a Boston-based online retailer that shares the same owner as Chinese social commerce giant Pinduoduo.

Temu is a registered US corporation.

If you have evidence, then please fix the Wikipedia entry. I found one once, and included my evidence in my correction. I won’t argue with you in any case, because I accept Wikipedia as correct, because they depend on people who have evidence fixing incorrect statements. [unwatch]

And because you used Temu they now have hacked your phone and have access to all your private information because Temu is a communist China spy application.

Patsworld said in part: "Temu is a communist China spy application" Please Pat, the red blanket lint under my bed is not proof of a communist plot and my dinnerware fork is not a spy radio transmitters... even tho Senator Joe McCarthy Republican of the 1950's became famous claiming the "reds" were every where. Patsworld, are you on that path?

If McCarthy had been photographed with my IR converted camera he would have had a red glow!!

I am not financing a take over of the US by China... I am simply buying thing at lower cost... even many odd things not available elsewhere~!

Actually, I believe and appreciate diversions such as this subject has generated, they are a healthy involvement of UHH members. UHH is a How-2 and Watta-ya market place of ideas.

Nevertheless, several BBB and other outside summaries do not paint a favorable picture of this company. They have taken steps to try to hide or camouflage their organizaton and origin, but those are cosmetic.

You can make a filter by in-camera uniformly exposing a fine grain B&W film of appropriate size. If you use 120 film you will have a square 60mm filter. 135 film can produce a 24x36mm filter.

There is no need to fog an entire roll. You can fog a single frame by removing the lens then opening and closing the shutter under uniform light.

Test it by photographing the Sun long before the eclipse.

DO NOT USE COLOR FILM AS A VIEWING FILTER THROUGH A CAMERA OR DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE EYE. Dyes in color film do not sufficiently absorb UV and IR radiation.

Hmm . . . I'm gonna be just a bit nervous placing a $13 filter between the sun and a $5,000 camera. Just my thoughts.

I agree. I'd be concerned about what the filter's transmission characteristic are. I know fine grain silver will I
absorb UV and IR. Other filter materials need to be measured.

I also know color film dyes are not adequate for the task at hand.
