Taken a couple of weeks ago. The mill, a flour mill and now historic site, was built in 1798 and is still operated by a descendant of the original owner. The covered bridge is the last one left in the region.
I like them all. The mill is in excellent shape for its age.
Thank you very much, NMGal! I read that it has had a few renovations done over the period of its existence. I would think that since it has been classified as a historic site, that there are government funds available for the upkeep. For a modest fee, a person can visit the mill and have someone on hand give a tour and explain the history and workings of the mill. The grounds are quite large and include the residence of the original owner. It was closed on the morning that I drove by.
