Hi my HOG friends. Shot 3 Scrimmage games. I had a hell of a time getting good focus shots. After a ton of hours work, being rejected by MaxPreps deleting and a little Topaz Photo AI I got the 3 games on Max. I am pretty sure I figured out why so many of my shots were out of focus and noisy. I use back button focus, and I think I was not keeping my finger on button hard enough to keep it locked in on continuous focus. I have been in the hospital for 3 weeks now. Lung infection horrible experience. Going to rehab tomorrow for a few weeks. Hope to be able to shoot the finals at least.

Hi there fella! I have admittedly been taking a break from shooting this summer. Only "sports" shooting was four rodeos I shot. Plus a couple model rocket club shoots. Tonight kicks off high school volleyball. Another Friday and community college vb Saturday. I've got my credentials lined up for NC State this fall so things are starting to power up!

I have worked out an arrangement with them in which in exchange for credentials, I share some of my images. To date, I have photographed volleyball, gymnastics, softball, soccer, wrestling, [some] women's basketball and an annual track and field invitational event. I mainly focus upon gymnastics and volleyball. The women's basketball has been more of a challenge to shoot as they have been so good the last few years and there is a high demand for credentials. But I do get most of the non conference games.

Glad you liked the rodeo images. This time of year when it gets dark earlier, I have to spend a lot more time post processing working on the lighting.
