This is by no means intended to show how the phone cameras compare. Just two images from different phones.

1. Galaxy S22 Ultra.

2. Sony Experia 1 V.

(For a comparison purposes, I would take the shots from the same location point. That way the lighting and subject are the same.)

It looks to me that the Sony captured more detail in the second picture. It looks sharper and more vibrant. I’m not looking at the difference in the angle each one was shot, just at individual points, such as the leaves and the rocks in the birdbath. Or perhaps the slight difference in lighting makes it look that way. In any case, my vote goes to the Sony.

The Sony appears to have better composition and detail. The other is a wider shot so hard to compare. Both are good images.

So what's the verdict or is it too early to tell?

I am keeping both. I put the sim into Sony because it is newer, faster, smaller and lighter. The Samsung still works for everything except phone related. It can email so long as it is connected to WiFi.
I buy all my phones unlocked and just swap the sim card.
That way I don't need to rely on the carrier.
