Hey Morty;
Great pics! which leads to my question.....how do you get such clear, sharp photos? I've been trying for awhile, cant seem to make it happen, not like yours any way. Yours are like you can just reach in and touch the subjects...mine dont quite have that feel to them. Attached is as good as it gets for me! Shot with a d3000 and vivitar 283 flash. Any help would be appreciated.....Thanx

Firstly let me welcome you to the Hog Kiwi. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
All the shots are great in my opinion but the first is a ripper mate. Well done. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
Thanx soooo much for the welcome! You guys have always made me feel welcome and unafraid to ask, pain in the butt, newbie questions! Invaluable! Love UHH! Thanx for the compliment! W0W! Acknowledged on UHH! I'm blushing!....No small task for a "black man"! However, I'm trying to achieve what I call that "3D" effect I see in so many of you guys pics, the sharpness, clarity, its like you can just reach your hand into the photo and touch the subject! That's what I was going for, but alas, again I fall short....only 5'6". Lol any suggestions on how to achieve it? Like in Ace's pic, it looks like you can just reach in and tap him on the shoulder! Don't think he'd appreciate it much....mess up his shot and all! How did you do it? Thanx all !
I like your photos, especially that first one.
Welcome to the hog, you're going to love it here.

Hi Bill, You're off to a fine start. What you should do is Start a thread with a few photos, and list your equipment used and camera settings for each photo. There are a number of people here who would be happy to help you.

Just from the phtos you shot and the one thing that stands out is the equipment he is using way different than yours. I think your photos are more than just fine.

Hey DixieGirl:
I agree! Unfortunately, the first two photos of this thread are NOT mine! The second two are. Any suggestions?
Hi Bill,
I knew the first ones were not yours and the others were :-) And no, I don't have any suggestions, because your photos look to me like they need no improvement. I think you did well!
