These were taken a couple of days ago early morning Morristown NJ. Didn't have to put up with any traffic or people photo bombing my shots. A very peaceful morning.

Cities are a different place in the early hours. That comes across in your shots.

I agree with you on that 100%. These wee taken a little after 6AM. In a couple of hours the roads and sidewalks are busy, busy, busy.

Very nice early cityscapes, Frank! The set gives you a sense of the city, not people.

I have been wanting to go there early enough without people and cars. I think I got there just at the right time. I was able to spend about 45 minutes before the rain came.

#1 is leaning to the left (and maybe #2 but not as much). With #1 I very much like your timing for having the attractive lamps still lit, and showing the peaceful oasis pre-workday.

#3 has some pretty cool reflections overlayed onto the interior. Wondering if cropping out the ceiling would help keep us within the details of the scene.

Is this the first time you've photo'd in Morristown at that time of day? Bet there is a lot more to explore!

You may be right about the lean in the first one. Ever so slight that it is. I definitely wanted to include the light. That park is in the center of town. Everyone has to go around it to go to wherever they are heading. When they have outdoor concerts and such they hold it in that park.
I’ve been to to Morristown many times. Just not this early when all is quiet.
I wanted to include the ceiling to give a sense of place on that last shot.

Thanks, I thought it wasn’t the typical shot that is usually posted on the Hog.

My favorite time to be out and about. These are really nice and I agree with R.G., the mood in the morning transforms cities.

Thanks Erich. Any other time of day it is all hustle and bustle. It was really nice to just stroll the heart of Morristown without all the cars and people.

I really enjoyed your third image. Love the idea of chairs turned upside down......shows it's quiet, not open for business yet. I like you included the window on the left side showing the daylight potential is on it's way. Great time of day before people are bustling about.

You just described what I was shooting for ( no pun intended). For me it was a relaxing time to be out, and see what I could get.
In a couple of weeks they will have a concert in that park. And it will look nothing like you see in these photos.
