The Eagle Nebula is the location of the Pillars of Creation, first imaged by the Hubbel Space Telescope. It is 7000 L.Y. from earth in the constellation Serpens.
To finish this image, I developed some new processing techniques in Pixinsight, the preeminent Astrophotography application, and Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. The Pillars of Creation is in a heavy Oxygen III region in the nebula's center. The hook-shaped structure to the left is called the Eagle's Eyrie.
I am particularly pleased with the final result; my best effort in 2023.

Excellent, and beautiful work!
β¦when I see an image like this it just fuels my inner spirit to want to know moreβ¦! Thanks
Incredible. You should be proud of your work. It wasn't all that long ago the even the largest telescopes on the planet couldn't achieve this quality.
