Sounds like you have to do some work to open the case and swap the drives, reboot and run the software.
Wouldn't it be easier to just convert the files? Or do you have so many files that it would take longer than swapping drives?

I have a lot of files and many I don't really care that much but once in a while I thought perhaps I check that image I had out. Also I have to maintain computer that can run old OS because I have a lot of old software that I want to use. So yes although the software manufacturer only give me the license to use (vs sold it to me) but it's a perpetual license and I intend to use it for a long long time perhaps for the rest of my life. I can still run DOS which was the OS I started out with.
