An institution called The Morrin Centre, that serves as a cultural venue for the English-speaking community of Quebec City, organized three photo walks in Upper Town – two in the evening and one on a Saturday afternoon. The walk was led by a local professional who had conducted three photo workshops at the centre earlier in the year. I had not attended the workshops, but decided to take part in the walk, as I have not done any photography since March of this year, and this was a good opportunity to get off of my butt and maybe see something new. I normally avoid downtown during the summer, as it is wall to wall tourists, but the architecture is interesting and the side streets are not as crowded. The guide gave suggestions/comments and cc as we walked. Most of the participants were individuals who had attended the workshops. I basically tagged along and mostly did my own thing. Here are a few images taken on the Saturday afternoon’s walk.
Excellent set, John! Good to see you posting again.
Good set John. Thanks for the tour.

I love your photos. I also would love to visit Quebec City. My husband is concerned about not speaking French. It’s interesting you reference the Morrin Centre. Perhaps we could get along without French? We can read it, but speaking it is out of the question.

Thank you kindly for your comments! Not to worry. In the old part of the city there is probably not a single establishment that cannot communicate with you in English. They rely heavily on the tourism industry and that, to a large extent, is made up of Americans, Canadians from other Provinces and others who do not speak French.
Nice set. We loved Quebec City.
Nice--enjoyed! Numbers three and eight are my personal favorites.
