Hummingbird Moth Round 3

While photographing other insects and things over my fence into a neighbor's yard I kept thinking of the Hummingbird Moth from yesterday. As I walked by the chain link fence separating the two yards I noticed this Hummingbird Moth about 3 feet in front of me. Sure glad they are not dangerous. I lucked out in that he stayed pretty close to me, so close I had to bring my lens in to get photos of him. I don't like all of these photos but am fairly happy with them until I can get better. I am learning as I go along, up the ISO for next time, do not use the on camera flash even with a diffuser as there is maybe a one second delay. That delay makes the Hummingbird Moth GONE by the time the flash goes off in many cases. Given enough chances I might submit some much better photos.

Thank you very much Brenda. Hopefully if I get more chances I will learn to get some really nice photos of this beautiful insect. He really reminds me of a WW2 aircraft but I have not decided which one yet.
