I've shared #2 in Digital Artistry, as well as another online forum, but this morning was encouraged to see if I could find any detail in the implement on the left. Through the magic of raw editing, I did - and found redder grass in the process

Your feedback would be welcomed.

Some people say that too many of us are obsessive about getting details out of shadows. Your edit is a good example of when it's definitely worth the extra effort. We can also count the grass as another successful adjustment.

The first is well worth the effort.

Thanks, R.G. I'm waiting to hear from the folks on another site as to whether #1 helps or hurts the fun fantasy of seeing animals in the shapes. Earlier I heard everything from dinosaurs to a goat to whale skeletons.

I'm thinking of trying to take #2 to a more fanciful interpretation. As often happens, I have too many ideas running through my head at the same time - the "kitchen sink" approach

I definitely see skeletal remains. I hope you post the results of your fanciful interpretations.

I saw the goat immediately but after that my imagination fails me completely. It's amazing how far digital Post Processing has come in such a short time.

As soon as I finish going through my "realistic" phase
