It doesn't recognize the lens but you can use it. You simply set the aperture, the shutter speed, focus then press the shutter release button. That's all.
If you want the lens to auto focus, the camera to automatically set exposure then there is no adapter that can do that with that lens and that body.
(you could gain some automation by using that lens with a mirrorless body)
