While walking out my front door this morning I spotted this grasshopper perched right on my door jamb about a foot off the ground. I had a couple of minutes to spare before my appointment so ran for my camera and took this photograph. Afterward the grasshopper allowed me to gently pick him up and move him to a nicer place for him to await my return.

Thank you Mark. Just so you know, I do have my limits. Jack was right. Had I been going fishing within the hour I would have taken the grasshopper along just so he could take a dip and float downriver in case a hungry 4 pound trout might be hungry.
