Post-processing, not photography per se.

Yes saw that. A real pioneer from start to the end of his life.

All photographers and artistic creators owe him a lot.

R.I.P., a life well lived.

About half of what separates a successful photographer from their peers is PhotoShop.

CHG_CANON, the same can be said about women. About half of what separates a woman from her peers is knowing how to apply her makeup.

The camera is just a sketchbook, to be finished later in PhotoShop.

So, in other words: before we had photoshop there were no successful photographers. This includes Cartier Bresson and Anselm Adams.

Granted Ansel Adam’s didn’t use photoshop for his photos but he and others that worked for him worked many hours in his darkroom getting the basic same result as what photoshop does by removing items, cropping, dodging, burning and more. I’ve seen preliminary working print of his all marked up outlining where and how much to burn x stops dodge x stops, move, remove etc. El Capetian took him months or years to get it the way he wanted not just SOOC. He would have love Photoshop. Some of his books are ever so enlightening to what work made him a master in photography

If Ansel Adams was the photographer worthy of that name, he'd do a better job Straight Out Of Camera like a Real Photographer.

Ansel Adams certainly was a great photographer because his photographs were sold for very high price.

It may depend on how you define ‘successful’.
