Next to my house we had a White Oak that slowly dies over the past 5 years or so. In view of the recent storms and high winds I decided it was time to remove it. The remove crew worked on it for three partial days...rain out one day, two hot into the second day and finished the third day.
White Oaks grow slowly. I looked up a diameter to age conversion table but it ended at 37 inches. This tree had a diameter of 46 inches and was likely around 300 years old. Too bad it had to go.
I took photos and videos with my phone.
It is amazing the way experts can fell a close tree.
Wow...that was some tree!!
Good image. Part of the one next door to me fell on my house during a storm recently. NO damage. The tree is bigger than that one so I have no idea how old it must be. Hate to see it go....

Wow they did a great job removing the tree. What are you going to do with the stump. Glad you did not try it yourself. What a beautiful old tree shame to see it go. Photos tell a great story they are sharp and adding the workers was a great touch.

That was one big tree. Yeah, too bad it had to go. Looks like they left you with a big stump to turn into a huge lawn table.
Sorry for your loss. That was an awesome looking tree.
Now to carve the stump into a bear. 😉
