need new photo scaner

Im in need of a photo scanear . I have been looking at the Epson v700 any one have experiance with good photo scaners. I have Lots of photos and negitives I need to archive for mypatents. My dad is 9m is 87 guey want their pictures preserved for the rest of the family. My Buffet is about $600. Unless my Wide será this post then it will be about $10. Ruano you for your help in this

I don't know if they're still available, but the HP 4050 scanner is just about the best for the money, in my opinion. In addition to photos, it will scan up to 16 slides at one time, and negatives all the way up to 8x10 inches. Gizzy
