The contrasts still impress me, after living nearly 21 years in this semi-arid corner of the planet, where agriculture exists only because of irrigation from Cascade Mountain snowmelt.

Linda, I have to agree. We moved to Kennewick 25 years ago and love it (cannot see images like yours because of the smoke the last few weeks).

Thank you all very much! dadbecker, the smoke arrived here early Saturday morning. Current AQI is 213. Not many places left on our fragile planet that aren't experiencing one weather disaster or another.

A gorgeous shot 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 - and they keep referring to that smoke around us as "haze" 😨😨😨

You take what Mother Nature gives you. Of course a little help from engineering friends certainly can't hurt. Really nicely captured/.
