Yesterday, today and tomorrow…. 54 YEARS AGO!! WOODSTOCK HAPPENED!
Richie Havens, twelve or more years ago when he played in Santa Fe. I wore my original t-shirt that he signed “Peace”.
His manager was yelling, “Richie, c’mon! You have to go on “
And he yelled back, “I’m reminiscing with Jane!”
We were talking about the days leading up to the festival when we all hung out and heard great music in Woodstock at Joyous Lake, the Espresso, Purple Elephant, Sled Hill!!
Here’s a lineup of who played!https://www.woodstock.com/lineup/
Woodstock still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Richie Havens -
Pursuant to Havens's request, he was cremated, and his ashes were scattered from the air over the original site of the Woodstock Festival, in a ceremony held on August 18, 2013, the 44th anniversary of the festival's last day.[34]

You have to remember to drink from a bottle only if it has never been opened.
Was in Pleiku, South Vietnam when Woodstock took place, so unfortunately, I missed it. Damn!

Did you happen to see my brother there - Art Curtis?
That was an awful time. He'd send home pictures and negatives, and as I was printing them, I didn't know if he was dead or alive. Fortunately, he made it home in one piece - with a medal for something.
One day, he was in a little bunker - or something - and a Vietnamese guy came running up to him. It was a bible salesman! No kidding. He ordered a huge bible with my wife's name and mine on the front, and it was delivered to us. Amazing!

I saw Richie Havens perform at the U of Bridgeport. It was a free concert for the students. I had never heard of him before but I really liked his music after I saw him.
Jerry, I’m sure you’ve been to the real Woodstock. For those of you who haven’t, it’s a cute, artsy town where the residents mostly dress as if the festival was just happening. Cute stores. At least it was about 20 years ago.

Yes, I've been there, but I tend to avoid it. Parking is impossible on the weekends. I like most kinds of music, but I also like variety. (And I'm not including rap in the term "music.")

I agreed about rap.
We’re probably gonna catch hell for this.
I wanted to go so bad but was only 10...Mom said no way.
I had to wait three years before I could go to my first concert.
The only woodstock in 1969 I recall was on the M1A
