Like to think Bob sent me these clouds today. But I'm an Apprentice without a Master.

Sun behind me, and I've not made the best of this. I think I need more contrast before my black and white conversion and perhaps a little more clarity.

clarity is fine as clouds by definition seem to have wispy fringes. Processed in LrC or Photoshop?

You don't need more contrast. The whites are white and there are deep blacks. If anything you may have overdone the contrast IMHO of course.
I think Bob would approve.

I understand your sentiments. Keeping at your craft is a fine tribute. I am sure that the sheer number of responses from people who were touched by his passing would have surprised him. While the quality of his work was rightfully noted, it was Bob Malarz the man who people missed and honored.
Pretty close, John, pretty close.
Bob would be proud of you!
Beautiful image John - when I saw this excellent shot it instantly reminded me of Bob.
