When the repubs nominate Patraus, all will be forgotten, even though what Clinton did will still be evil.

Are you talking about Gen. David Petraeus ? Are you kidding? Maybe you are stuck in the past thinking about the childish General "Betrayus" moveon.org ad. But in recent history, Petraeus's infidelity is a textbook example why it matters with people in power. It might have been used against him to get him to participate in the Obama's lie about Benghazi. After that what do you think his chances of even running for the Republican nomination are?

Several people may have given up more than they realized in the service of lying to protect Obama's re-election chances. I wonder how many didn't feel like they had a choice.

Crimes may have been committed in the cover up of Benghazi in which one person has given conflicting testimony to congress that can't be reconciled. But I doubt that the people so interested in going after Scooter Libby will be interested.

Hypocrisy relieves us of so many difficult responsibilities. A president covers up an attempt to steal political files and democrats call for his head. A president covers up a terrorist attack resulting in 4 American deaths and they call for his re-election.

Let's recall the story here, people. Nixon was not vilified for stealing political files. As has been pointed out through history, that was just a botched second-rate burglary. He resigned because he participated in a conspiracy to cover up the crime, which is a crime in itself. Few people think he had anything to do with the planning or carrying out of the break-in. Using the CIA to stop the FBI from investigating, paying hush money - these indictable felonies are what led to his downfall.

So far there is no concrete evidence of anyone covering up a crime in the Benghazi affair. Covering up a botched incident doesn't rise to the level of conspiracy to cover up a crime. Obama may get pilloried by the public if he did screw up, but so far there is absolutely no evidence of impeachable "high crimes and misdemeanors", as required by the Constitution. No one sought to impeach Johnson over the Gulf Of Tonkin incident, and no one lobbied for Reagan's impeachment over Iran-contra. Move along to the next RWNJ conspiracy, folks, there's nothing to see here.

You Might Be A Democrat If...

You own something that says, "Dukakis for President, " and still display it.
You've ever said, "We really should call the ACLU about this."
You believe that a few hundred loggers can find another career, but the defenseless spotted owl must live in its preferred tree.
You ever based an argument on the phrase, "But they can afford a tax hike because..."
You keep count of how many people you know in each racial or ethnic category.
You believe our government must do it because everyone in Europe does.
You can't talk about foreign policy without using the word conspiracy.
You think Ralph Nader makes a lot of sense.
You don't understand why anyone was bothered by Jane's trip to Hanoi.
You think solar energy is being held back by those greedy oil companies.
You've never been mugged.
You actually expect to collect Social Security.
You think the State of Florida should have tried to reform Ted Bundy.
You think the Great Society has actually worked.
You don't see the similarity between WONK and WANK.
You got teary-eyed during the film "The American President."
You think Ayn Rand is an African currency.
Your house smells like a garbage dump because of your commitment to recycling.
You think political patronage describes the Kennedy family.
Your High School Year Book goals included the words "help people."
You think the Free Market is where they hand out Government cheese.
You think Carter should be on Mt. Rushmore.
You believe personal injury lawyers when they say they are just trying to defend the little guy.
You know that those profit mongering drug companies could find a cure for AIDS if they really wanted to.
You actually believe the NY Times and Washington Post.
You know at least one Vegan.
You trust Teddy Kennedy when he said that she was driving.
You'd rather own Birkenstock than Merck Stock.
You think public housing is great, but just NIMBY.
You think the anti-war protestors from '60s are the real heroes.
You think that Supply Side Economics refers to your dope dealer's stash.
You think Michael Jackson is a great example of diversity.
You actually think that poverty can be abolished.
You think that Joan Baez had something to say.
You admire the Swedish welfare system.
You know that Jefferson really meant to say "Entitled to Happiness."
You think the Flat Tax should be at 95%
You go to Gay Pride Day parades so that no one can call you homophobic.
After looking at your pay stub you can still say, "America is undertaxed."

Obviously our views are colored by the Kool Aid we each drink from our favorite political party. While I happen to like the original post, I'm sure someone could be just as imaginative (tho not yet, so far) with the "recipe", as it were, with my own Democratic Kool-Aid. I could actually learn something from a well-done recipe, and alter my views accordingly, but not if it talks about socialism and nonsense like that. No mention of 47 per centers, or leeches, just how some progressive viewpoints may be flawed.

The problem as I see it there are a majority of voters now on the receiving end while those paying (tax payers) are the minority. I really don’t see anything changing until we, as a nation, hit rock bottom. With our debt situation the way it is we’re not too far away. To fix this problem I say if you don’t pay taxes you don’t get to vote. Maybe that way we might get some politicians in office who will fix the problem, if it’s not too late.

Tchsmath, yes you are correct. Not arguing that point. Just pointing out the attitude difference, which also carries over to the Clinton impeachment. Dems couldn't care less, as evidenced by the comment above. After all, it was only a horny dude. But as you point out, the crime was not the sex, it was the lies, the coverup. It's the hypocritical attitude.

All of them are flawed and you will never alter your views, not if you could continue to support one of the worst presidents this nation has ever had. 8-)

Sheesh Roger, I was just trying to be friendly. Never like to see anyone leave, nor did I attack, nor would I ever attack your work. You were the one who said you weren't going to post anymore. Glad you changed your mind is all. 8-)

To Papayanirvana. Your post says it all. You don't have a clue what you are talking about. It was hysterical just for the listing of stupid things right wingers "think".
