A memorial to Bill who lived and died in a cardboard box on the streets of San Francisco a long time ago and what the Viet Nam war did to so many of our generation.

No, that's not Bill but that's about what he looked like many years ago.

Face from MidJourney background from the web. Processed in Photoshop beta and NIK Color Efex Pro

War certainly does not end at an armistice or peace treaty.

Thanks for looking. For some it never ends 'till the end. My Dad, who landed in Normandy on June 6, told me, "War changes everybody and nobody for the better"

Sad, but thought provoking.

A sad commentary on our VN vets. Their eyes saw too much, I think.

I am appalled at the government's neglect of our veterans in need compared to red carpet treatment given to the hordes of those crossing the border illegally. Many of these homeless vets served in Vietnam. They either volunteered or were called to service via the draft where the plans for their lives were interrupted by the "call of duty".

I find it strange that so many politicians believe that the Death Sentence for convicted criminals who committed the most heinous crimes should be eliminated, yet they are willing to send tens of thousands of innocent men who they have drafted to fight to save their lives in the foreign wars for mainly political reasons.

I'll step down from my soap box now.

Our track record as a nation in caring for our veterans who suffer from the trauma of their experience and who fall on misfortune is dismal. We call ourselves the greatest nation but we fall way short in so many humanitarian ways. We should be ashamed.
