Two odd news items today -

A woman was driving into a gas station, and she struck a row on EV charging stations, causing her pickup truck to roll over. They needed the jaws of life to get her out of the truck, and she's in serious condition.
How fast was she going?!

A fire that started in a chicken coop threatened a car and a home. Aside from electricity or a heater, what could have caused a chicken coop fire? Does anything in there generate a lot of heat?

The local paper sends me headlines every morning.

I wish I had more time! Between computer, TV, and naps, my day goes by too fast.

In the summer? Bad wiring? Sale on cooked chicken?

Likely the woman was going fast, given the damage to the car.
A coop might have electric fans.

That's a sharp, 90° turn off the main road. How fast was she going? Crazy!

Yes, fans are a possibility, considering the weather.

...maybe from the chicken manure on the floor that had not been cleaned. As lower layers decay, they produce quite a bit of heat.... layers on top have served as insulation and with enough heat, the floorboards (very dry wood) combust and Col. Sanders has lots of recruits....

I wondered about that building up heat.

• Chicken poop?
• A chicken who said, "Hey, y'all! Watch this!"?
• Mrs. O'Leary's cow came to visit?

Would not have thought of that - concrete floors and we kept them clean - washed daily summer or winter. We have lots of windows and roof vents - didn’t use fans.

There was a horrific automobile accident in our area captured on a home surveillance camera of an automobile that flew through the air and crashed into a house damaging it so badly that what was left of it had to be demolished.

Crime scene recreation with the help of the video camera estimated that she was traveling in excess of 110 mph which caused the automobile to launch when she left the road. They summarized that she had a medical event, passed out, and kept her foot on the accelerator. The driver did not survive, and it was possible that she passed away before impact.
