Ah Sicilia, I was also there in 2006 visting the town of my progenitors, Calatafimi. I loved it so much I bought a house there and stayed for ten years. A different, slower, more relaxed style of living. I must post some photos soon.

Very nice set Mike. The only time we've been to Sicily was a port call in Messina last year that we really enjoyed. We would like to go back and explore more of Sicily. We visited the small town in southern Italy (near Potenza) in 1973 where my paternal grandparents were from and stayed with family that we had never met; it was one of the highlights of my life.

Wonderful pictures of the Italian culture. Regarding #3, the statue of man on horse, it's nice to see that Italy/Sicily cherishes their history! ... unlike some other country where angry people tear down historic statues.
