Went out last night with my new-to-me Canon 5D Mk IV to see what it'd do shooting the Milky Way. Between clear skies and the new camera, I was able to get probably the best MW photo I've ever taken, and a bit of post-processing produced my best photo to date. Taken with the 5D4, a Tamron SP17-35 lens @ 17mm, 25 sec exposure @ ISO 6400. Still have a long way to go before I get the editing process down pat, but this is a start...

Very nice! What time did you go out? I didn't see the Milky Way myself while looking for meteors around 10:30pm.

Excellent shot! In my TODO list to attempt. But first, I have to get to a dark enough site.
And I need to get a lens wider than my 24-120 zoom.

Thanks for such a great photo.
Info on the (exposure) settings will get me started on (galaxy) shots.

Thanks, Vaun! This was taken about midnight...
