Wondering if anyone out there has a Cannon or Nikkor 35MM Leica Screw Mount lens they want to part with? I already have a 50MM and 100MM and am looking to balance out the system, but will certainly consider any other offerings.

Im just guessing that "Canon or Nikkor" actually means "non Leica". Therefor Im suggesting Voigtlander.

KEH has plenty of M39 Voigtlander wide angles, including 35/2.5, mostly under $500, some under $400. I went for the 25/4.0 "Snap Shot Skopar" (no rf cams).

Leica thread mount lenses are plentiful at KEH.com. Here is one example the Hectar 28mm f6.8 is a sold at $25. The Post WW II 8.5CM f 1.5 lens sells for between $800 and $2,000. The WW II version is such a collectors item that it's black lens hood starts at $1,000. By the by, the 50mm f2 Summitar is seen as the mist perfect lens ever made, it is from the 1950's. And of course the 50mm f1 lens is a perfect jewel and will run about $1,000.

Want to know the best part of owning a Leica lens, it is forever, register the serial number with E. Leitz as the owner and if it is stolen and is recovered it will be returned to the registered owner.

I have a 35mm Canon with viewfinder. If interested, I’ll take some pictures. Please PM me.

Nathan,
I would be delighted to have the opportunity to consider your lens if you wish to part with it. If you want to take pictures, I'd certainly would review them. If you would rather give me an overall description of the glass re: scratches, mold an/or dust and your evaluation of the aperture and overall appearance, I can work with that, Just let me know if it is a 3.5 or 2.8, or something else and what you are thinking of for a price.

Thanks,

Bob Creed

Thank you for pointing me in that direction, I honestly didn't know that Voigtlander made lenses in the Leica mount. I was just searching for Cannon and Nikon lenses in the screw mount, Leica lenses, regardless of the mount, are a bit out of my price range. I can expand the scope of my search with this knowledge in hand.

Dear R T Creed,
Thanks for your reply. I’ll get the lens so my response is from current reality instead of memory. I’ll send info and photos via email if you don’t mind sharing yours.

Youre quite welcome.

Ive put together a small "tribe" of several very compact Leica-mount lenses. All but one (a Laowa) are Voigtlanders.
