On our way to Coeur d Alene, Idaho we spent a few days in Challis, Idaho...enjoying beautiful country and scenic drives along the Salmon River. One of the places we spent a morning was Bayhorse, an old silver mining town that is now a well preserved State Park. Lots of interesting subjects and history to explore and photograph.

When you turn off the highway, you cross this old suspension bridge over the Salmon River then follow the dirt road four miles to Bayhorse.

Wonderful shots.

There is just something about "ruins" and ghost towns that
always interested me. I suppose, the run down ruins and
left overs of a past civilization, cause one to wonder what
our town will look like in 100 years?
