The
Castle Doctrine has be codified and expanded by many state legislatures.
Please consider taking the time to study how it is applied in your State in as this Common Law Doctrine is extremely complex... And keep in mind it is primarily germane to Criminal scenarios not so much to the Civil side of the equation. Hope this helps, or is at least food for thought.

The poster is a grim reminder of the fruitlessness of restraining orders. Just a few days ago, a low-life k**led his ex-girlfriend in a parking lot across from her workplace. A judge had issued a restraining order, but he hadn't been yet served. He tried to escape, but was stopped a little ways off. He is defiant and stated the restraining order wouldn't have stopped him.
