Ohio Constitutional Amendment "you win even if you lose" proposal rejected by v**ers
Yesterday, Ohio v**ers rejected, by a comfortable 57% to 43% margin, a proposal by Republicans in Ohio to rig the State Constitution with an anti-democracy constitutional amendment requiring future constitutional amendments to be approved by at least 60% of the v**ers. This "you lose even if you win, you win even if you lose" proposal was developed by Republicans primarily for the purpose of making it more difficult for v**ers to approve a pro-choice constitutional amendment, and is an example of how anti-choice Republicans in Republican controlled states have been attempting to keep women's reproductive rights from being approved by v**ers. Even in Republican states, polls show that v**ers approve women's reproductive rights and v**ers have approved pro-choice proposals. As a result of yesterday's v**e, v**es on amending the Ohio constitution--including any regarding women's reproductive rights--will remain "you win if you win, you lose if you lose."
Kansas reproductive rights, Michigan SC and now Ohio Constitutional amendments results should send a shiver down the spine of any radical Rightwinger. Pushing your radical agenda against the will of the majority is peeing in your own punch bowl! Drink up folks! It's your own cocktail mix!
