A severe storm is passing through our area. We're still without power since 2:30 pm due to downed power lines and lots of trees and debris scattered on many roads. Be vigilant if traveling this way.

That's horrible. We've had torrential rain, thunder, and lightning almost every day for a couple of months. We get warnings via email, and kids' outdoor recreation often closes.

Luckily, we came through the storm okay. Many others have quite a bit of damage. Power was out for eight hours by us.

The last Hurricane we had here in south Florida, our power was off for 2 weeks. Since then I had a Generac Generator installed, since then the power has only been of a few seconds before the Genset kicks in.

After this storm, we're seriously considering it. In In four years here, this is the first time the outage was more than a hour. Nearby residents were without power from yesterday 2:30 p.m. to just a few moments ago. As the storms become more fierce and frequent, a Generac will be a good investment

Would love to do that here in SW Florida but we have no natural gas service and the HOA would have a cow if we had a large propane tank in our yard. Stuck with a small gas generator.

When we had that freeze in February of 2021and lost power I offered an extention cord to the neighbor next door to run a little heater just to keep the house above freezing since I had a generator .he said no and went to stay with his brother.when power can back on in four days and he return home his floor had buckled. Our water pipes run through our slab foundation. They froze and busted his foundation in the kitchen.
