I posted a while back on this topic but didn’t get anywhere. I am looking to purchase a Canon 1.4 III extender at a reasonable price. I need it before
8-20-23 Let me know if you have one for sale and price. If I don’t get one here I will just order one from MPB. Thank you

I’d go with MPB. $254 for like new is a decent price. Your biggest risk is getting it by 8-20, if you act soon.

Make sure the 1.4 is compatible with your lens you are using. Some lenes can't use extensions due to spacing

An alternative is to rent one from the various sources (Borrow Lenses, Lens Rentals, etc.). It will come quick. One or all of them also offer to sell you the item you've rented. The one time I did that for a lens, which was from one of the two outfits I've mentioned (can't remember...), their price was lower than any other copy of the used lens out there so I took the offer.

Thanks to everyone for the buy and rent options. I really just want to buy one. I already have the series II model. Just want to update for my
100-400 L series II before my trip to Alaska.

It is compatible with my 100-400L II and 5D4. Actually with multiple focus points. Thanks

Yes, it works great with the EF 100-400L II and 5D4, but I'm not selling.

I have a 1.4III on my new EF100-400 with 5D4 or 7D2 most of the time and it works great with both. I traded the old one in for it when I bought the new lens.

$225 here. I've bought numerous times from sellers on Fredmiranda.com https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1819832/0?keyword=ef,1.4X,iii#16310944

Thanks for the heads up Paul. I ordered about an hour before this was posted. I am going to try to cancel order with MPB but it is after hours for them in NYC so I will have to talk to them tomorrow morning. Fortunately I got the one I bought for $244. So not too much difference plus a 180 day warrantee. You win some and loose some 😎

Folks should always check fredmiranda. Nothing but reputable sellers there!

I'm researching and debating with myself whether to buy an astro modified R5 to go with my stock one. Seller wants $2600.. it has almost $800 in the mod and filters.
