Pretty much self-explanatory though I will answer any questions. All the bears are hungry and thirsty and will do just about anything for a little water. They try to get into the tubs I have placed in the forest, and usually end up dumping them. The scraggly-looking cub with the yellow face likely had been eating yellow agave blossoms; I have seen a number of flower-laden stalks knocked over and suspect bears. And for only the second time I got a bear with an ear tag (perhaps the same one as before, different area). The momma bears have started encouraging their cubs to play with my cameras, something to look forward to!
As you can see we have all colors of black bears here, from glossy black to brown to cinnamon to blonde.

That's a pretty cute little cub with all that water drizzling out of its mouth!
Wonderful set with a wide range!

Thanks. I recently added a water tub to that area with the huge stump. There's a shallow trough in the rock that holds water but it's tiny and keeps going dry, so...

They are. The adults would look better if their coats weren't so poor right now.

Beautiful set.
Thanks. I'm very partial to bears.
Hey Southwest. Thanks for sharing these images with us. It is not an easy life for wild creatures anywhere and especially in a warmer drier area. Your efforts to make things at least a bit better for them is commendable.
