Yellow crown night herons feed on fiddler crabs on sand flats and stalk them while strutting among droving crowds of the sand fiddler crab on the east coast of the US. This flat is on West Meadow Creek, north shore of Long Island near Old Field, NY. The caught fiddler is likely a female, which does not have a giant claw.
