I saw this on the way to the Marsahall Cinnabar mine in the middle of the park, this pic is only slightly massaged with color enhancement ( haven't located the original pic yet.) but is essentially exactly as it appears.

If the fractures in the host rock are mineralized, they can become more resistant to weathering than the surrounding rock, and subsequent erosion can produce boxwork structures."

We saw boxwork last year while touring Wind Cave, South Dakota, which contains the largest concentration of cave boxwork formation in the world.

wall about 25 to 30 feet tall, look at the far right edge and you can see how it continues around
