I had a terrible day out and about with the Nikon z50 on Sunday July 30, it seemed that nothing worked and my photos were mostly just trash. I tried on the tripod, hand held, even seated hand held on my stool which is my usual go to anymore because of medical issues.
So on August 1st I decided to just head out of the house here in Woodstock, Ontario with no real destination in mind but just a day to wander, these are just a few of the photos I was able to capture. I am most happy with how my Mute Swan photos turned out after using some of the suggestion from members here on a post earlier this year.
All photos taken on my Nikon d300 using the Sigma 100-400mm lense
Eastern Kingbird flushing insects

Mute Swan showing off, there is a pair here in Woodstock and I am happy to say they still have 4 cygnets so far this year, usually the snapping turtles get over half of them.

Young Double-crested Cormorant that was fishing in front of me and was oblivious to my presence.

One outstanding wildlife series. Never, never let go of that Nikon D300. Many thanks for sharing. :)

You, your camera and your lens did very well with this series. I second Tonytee, the D300 is an excellent camera and its 12 Mp. are good enough for beautiful enlargements.
Advanced technology is a good thing but technology alone does not take pictures.
Very nice. That is one good camera.
Very good! I still use my D300 and the batteries from 2009 when I bought the camera still work fine and analyze in the camera as new!

Thanks and although I like the fact the z50 weighs a lot less, the muscle memory of using the d300 from using it for so long just makes it feel effortless, I suppose in time the z50 may feel the same
