Hello Everyone,
We'll be travelling from Tangle Lakes, Alaska south to Valdez and then to Anchorage. Are there any specific photo locations or photo opps anyone can recommend? Our primary interests are landscapes and wildlife but we're not limited to those.

As you probably know, there are not many roads in that area. That said, here are my recommendations
1. Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Visitor Center, Richardson Hwy, Copper Center, AK (it on the way to Valdez).
2. The last few miles going down to Valdez are quite spectacular!
3. The boat docks at Valdez.
4. https://www.valdezalaska.org/discover/around-town/fish-hatchery/
5. Are you taking the ferry to Whittier? You get to drive thru the 2 mile long, train tunnel at Whittier by doing so. Plus see a glacier or two.
6. If going by road to Anchorage, there is the Matanuska Glacier, State Recreation Site is accessible by road at Mile 101 of the Glenn Highway, 93 miles from Anchorage and 52 miles from Palmer. As of June 2022, access to the glacier is only available by guided tour. Prices are $40 for residents, and $125 for non-residents.
