My wife and I will be visiting Paris for about 10 days this fall and I would like some suggestions for off the beaten path photo spots. An example would be the small park near the Musee Marmottan with it's small rotunda/bandstand and old hand cranked carousel. We have been to Paris before and will naturally revisit some of the main attractions but I'm looking for the more quaint areas. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We took a bus tour to Giverny to visit Claude Monet’s Gardens. They have half day tours (5hr) taking you there and back. The gardens are beautiful and very photo friendly.
Thank you. We took the train to Giverny last time and may do it again. Monet is one of our favorites.
If you have the luxury of time, spend the day at the Palace of Versailles.
It was an eye-opener into one of the reasons for the French Revolution. Louis XIV nearly bankrupted France wasting money on things like the palace and Marie Antionette certainly didn't make any friends with her, "Let them eat cake" wit.
Many rooms have 3-5 different kinds of marble and I would bet that very little, if any, came from France itself.
Also, not far from the Petite Palace is the Rodin Museum. France's only privately funded museum.
Take at least one spare battery for your camera. I didn't and the battery died just before we arrived at the Petite Palace. Needless to say, I never made THAT mistake again...
For the rest, Google is your friend. Good luck.
P.S. The RER is your friend. It can be confusing but is a great way to get around.
Thanks, missed Versailles last time, maybe this time. Definitely plan to revisit Rodin. Yes, once you figure out the metro it's great. Kind of difficult to figure out which direction is which when exiting the station to the street.

What really sucked was the fact that they do not seem to be handicap friendly. My knees were shot when we were there in 2016 and they are much worse now and I don't think that the Frech believe in elevators. At least not for the train system.
Anyway, happy planning and take some pictures, lots of them.
Love the spiral staircase!

This is an opportunity for me to indulge: The food market and the cathedral in St Denis (the city of dead kings and living people). La Villette. Find a map of a sequence of the covered passages of Paris, especially in the garment district. The following are all close together: Rue Mouffetard from the south ( daily food market, Grand Mosque, Gare Austerlitz. gardens along the Seine, Institue du Monde Arabe, Ile St -Louis, Jardins des Plantes)

I can't agree more. Check to see if private tours are available fro the catacombs of the cathedral--once in a lifetime.
The Chateau of Chantilly would be a slightly-off-the-beaten-track possibility. I enjoyed a picnic in the nearby woods years ago. Note, if you're going this October, the world rugby championships are taking place in the area all that month. St. Denis, especially, will be teeming with rugby fans. I'm hoping to do some of my photography this fall on the grounds of the Rodin Museum.

Sights abound in Paris and if you've been there before you probably know the majority of them. Don't know if you have the time or have been before, but a side trip to Amboise and the Loire Valley, DaVinci's final home, Chateau's like Château d'Amboise, Chenonceau and Chambord and others is a worthwhile outing not to mention its also a beautiful valley with beautiful homes and architecture. We rented a car and took the 2.5 hour drive to Amboise, spent one evening, thoroughly enjoyed it.
We were in Paris last year and my feet are still recovering from all the walking in that super-sized city...
France has so much to see, Cheers, enjoy and have a great trip.
Take the train to Charte... the cathedral is spectacular. Also, have you been to Cimitere Pere LaChaise? Very interesting & fun to walk around.
Consider taking a Fat Tire Bicycle tour, american company. They have great bikes and good backroad, tours of the city. They also have one out to Versailles that combines train, bike and entrance with ship the line.
Great company.
Decades ago, took a tour of the sewers. Back then, I used the Paris Blue Guide, (fantastic guidebook series)now no longer updated, No hotels or restaurants, just incrediblely detailed site/sight guide.
