Yes, long antenna, but some non-bee-like flies have them too.

Thanks for your reply. I am not sure which is why I asked but I am of the opinion it is a common honey bee but looks young.

It's a bee. There are lots of flies (and other insects) that mimic bees. Most bee-mimicking flies still have very short antennae that characterize most flies. But this has long antennae, elbowed near the base. There are various other details that also say "bee".
I can't be sure of a further ID here, as there are several bee families that look like this and are rather hard to tell apart except thru details that are not visible here.

It looks like one of many subspecies of bumble bees.

A bee or not to bee. That is the question. In your case, it is a bee which has several identifying features including the biting and chewing mandibles.
