More images made in the past.
These are images I have made in the past with the exception of the “New Leaves” that I photographed yesterday prior to a storm.
I have here a combination of Nikon and Olympus cameras. My cameras, by all standards, are considered as dinosaurs. I have not updated anything, they are as good now as the day I bought them and they are satisfying my needs for now.
The first image, an abstract, was made in Lauderdale by the Sea, a beautiful community near Fort Lauderdale here in South Florida. I used an Olympus Pen EP-5, with the Zuiko 12-40 f2.8 Pro lens. The window leads to the kitchen in this restaurant. I stepped backward to make this image and used the tele side of the lens to emphasize the red color reflection of that evening sunset and the light bulb. This type of shooting is called Contemplative Photography.
The second one is a solitary tree located at Tropical Park here in Miami. I placed it in the center of the frame while emphasizing the sky with the camera in the portrait position in a beautiful spring afternoon. Nikon D7000 with 18-200 VR, AF-S lens. I used a tripod for this image. No filters.
The third image, that I have named "New Leaves" is the result of what began to happen three weeks after trimming this plant. Many new leaves were beginning to grow in all branches previously trimmed. Olympus EM-D 10 Mk. II with 12-40 f2.8 Pro lens wide open at 40mm.
The last image is also from Lauderdale by the Sea. This image was made with an Olympus Pen EP-5 and the 12-40 f2.8 Pro lens. I was watching the waves and the patterns on the sand. I found them interesting and beautiful and decided to record the moment with my camera.
I hope you like them.
Excellent set William - well done!

More images WERE made in the past or ARE made in the past? Which one is correct? Help me with this because I was not educated in this country.
Thank you for stopping by.
I think he's just needling you! Nothing wrong with your English. ALL photos were made in the past, or they wouldn't exist! Even if it was five minutes ago, it's in the very recent past! Have a great day!!
Nikon D7000 isn't a dinosaur. It's a very nice, capable camera!
Retired CPO thank you for the information, I do really appreciate it. I spent a whole year in NY in 1958 and all the English I know I learned it there.
Yes, the Nikon D7000 is a very capable tool, at least it has been for me. I am totally satisfied with the images I get from it. It was introduced in 2010 so it is almost 24 years old. I see no reason to buy anything else at present but if I had to buy another DX body it could be the Z50 which is capable of accepting my DX lenses with an adapter otherwise the D7200 is another camera that I like.
Incidentally, I use as you already know, Olympus cameras with Olympus and Panasonic lenses. Very happy so far.
Once again, thank you for stopping by and commenting.
Excellent eye and execution, William!
Correction, Retired CPO I had a senior moment, the D7000 is not 24 years old but 13 since its introduction. I apologize for the mistake.
UT Mike thank you for the kind words.
Kathy, I have not forgotten your comments I simply forgot to mention them. I do not get tired looking at your photography, which is beautiful.
When I have a dull day I simply go to your site and enjoy looking at the beautiful images. Tahnk you for your comments.
